Poetry book teaches children about e-safety

Last year, we worked with Serious Comedy to produce an online safety poetry book – Beneath the Screen –  teaching children about the dark side of the internet.

The book is includes lovely illustrations and dark comedy poems cover some of the serious threats online, such as trolling, identity on social media and online gaming.

We ran a competition in March when we attended The Education Show in Birmingham, and one lucky school won 60 books and access to online lesson plans for a year. The school was Etonbury Academy in Bedfordshire and Joya Brahmachari-Limb, Head of Performing Arts at the school, said, “The books are good for a quick read and they are easy to read. They would be really good for weaker readers. We enjoyed using them as drama stimulus.”
