Online Safety Competition
emPSN provide the broadband and application services to schools in the East Midlands. To spread the word about the importance of online safety we are launching a competition for schools in Northamptonshire. We want to hear from students about their perception of online safety.

How can this be included in the curriculum?
This activity may be included as part of your PSHE curriculum or set as homework as part of your ICT classes.
How do you get involved?
The competition activity involves all ages from Foundation right through to sixth form and we have set tasks appropriate to each age group.
- For KS4 and KS5 – Write us a story, poem or draw a picture about online safety and what it means to you.
- For KS2 and KS3 – Write us a story, poem or draw a picture about online safety and what it means to you.
- For Foundation and KS1 – Draw us a poster about online safety and what it means to you. You can be as creative as you like!
How do you submit entries?
Once your class have completed the activity, staff should scan in completed creations and email them to firstname.lastname@example.org using the subject ‘Online Safety Competition’. Entries must be received by Friday 8th November 2019.
What is the prize?
For the winning entries in each key stage category, we will turn the creations into canvas art for you to display in your school. The winning schools will also receive 60 copies of our online safety poetry book ‘Beneath the Screen’ which teaches students more about online safety using dark comedy.
When will the winners be announced?
All entries must be received by Friday 8th November 2019. We will announce the winners on our website and in our customer bulletin by Friday 29th November 2019.
