With many teachers and students currently remote learning, video conferencing has become part of everyday life. One of the most common platforms used is Google Meet.
Google Meets security controls are turned on by default, however you may want to know the basics of how to keep young children extra secure.
Whilst security is paramount on teachers and parents list of concerns, members of the correct classes can access the content, with different links created each time to avoid chat rooms being created.
We recommend you supervising younger children who are using Google Meet at home to keep them safe. Remind and reassure them that they can talk to you about anything that worries them.
If other people admit somebody your child does not know, show them how to leave a chat.
