Last week was the E2BN conference which was held at Wyboston Lakes in Bedfordshire. The 2-day conference is an annual event in which Edu Tech professionals from all over the east of England and beyond get together and share ideas.
The conference featured several prominent keynotes and over 20 workshops across a wide range of subjects. The conference was a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded professionals and to hear what some of the key thought leaders in the industry had to say.
There was a lot to take from the Online Safety Evolved Workshop run by SWGfL. The session looked at how online safety has changed and continues to develop over the years. With meaningful discussions about how we can all tackle critical issues online such as online bullying, fake news and child grooming. It was also discussed how as these issues change and develop, the critical aspect to online safety will be providing a consistent message to educators and children. The UK is making great strides with this consistent and accurate message, especially with the development of the UK Safer Internet Center and emPSN look forward to supporting and getting more involved with this crucial aspect on technical education.
