Churchill Archive Now Available to Schools – FREE!

The acclaimed Churchill Archive is now free for the first time to schools worldwide thanks to a $1 million donation from philanthropist Laurence Geller CBE. This fantastic resource can be accessed through JCS.

The Churchill Archive offers cross-searchable online access to over 800,000 original documents – from Sir Winston Churchill’s personal correspondence to official exchanges, and from photographs and newspaper reports to speeches in various drafts (including his annotated copy of his ‘finest hour’ speech in June 1940).

“All children should understand Sir Winston Churchill’s fundamental place in our nation’s history, and schools can now seize the opportunity to access the Churchill Archive – a tremendous cache of documents that brings history to life.” Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP, Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities, UK.

Over 800 schools from 29 countries have registered for free online access to the complete Churchill Archive until 31 December 2020.
