For those of our schools who use Zycomm Wireless Connectivity as an alternative to Learning Stream or ADSL, the support that is available, is supplied through the Kcom service desk and here’s why:
- Schools connect by wireless connection to Zycomm (local connection)
- Kcom fibre connection between Zycomm and the emPSN Data Centre in Nottingham
- New schools will require a new wireless NTE from Zycomm and a new router from Kcom but the school network will not need to change their IP details
- This is like all other emPSN connections; it is both on-network and connected to the NEN (National Education Network)
- This is a schools only non-data volume capped service from Zycomm / W3Z
