Nasstar – emPSN London Data Centre relocation: 02/08/25 from 09:00 until 23.59

Dear Customer,

We have been informed by our Managed Service Provider, Nasstar, that they will be closing one of their Datacentre presences in London – Global Switch (GS2) – and they will need to move all their existing customers to their alternative London Datacentre – London Telehouse South (THS).

As a result, Nasstar will need to move the emPSN London Datacentre, and this work will result in a loss of resiliency leading up to and during the relocation.

Nasstar have already prebuilt the emPSN mirrored services in their alternative London THS Datacentre and are currently testing.

From the 15/07/25 Nasstar will start to migrate all services onto our Midlands Datacentre in readiness for the migration to the London Datacentre. This will result in reduced resiliency within the emPSN Core until the migration is completed.

• 15/07/25 @ 22:00 Core tunnels move from London DC to Midlands DC: up to 10 minutes downtime within a 2 hr window for all connected sites.

• 17/07/25 @ 22:00 Netsweeper traffic moved from London DC to Midlands DC: up to 10 minutes downtime within a 2 hr window for Netsweeper users.

• 22/07/25 @ 22:00 Midlands DC becomes the primary DC: up to 10 minutes downtime within a 2 hr window for all connected sites.

• 31/07/25 @ 19:00 Software test isolation of London GS2: no disruption expected.

• 01/08/25 @ 19:00 software isolation/port shutdown of GS2: no disruption expected.

The actual physical Datacentre Migration works will begin at 09:00 on 02/08/2025 and are expected to be complete by 23.59 on 02/08/2025. No downtime is expected as all connected sites will be running on the alternative Midlands DC.
