A complaint is when you tell them that you are dissatisfied with the way they have or have not done something, and you want to let them know so that they can respond to you and take the appropriate action in order to address your concerns and provide a solution. A complaint should not be confused with a query, or a request for information or incident report, for example, a report of a service or equipment failure. Your complaint may relate to either the services that they provide to you or the processes they use for resolving customer issues.
