Nasstar – emPSN London Data Centre Relocation: 02/08/25 from 09:00 until 23.59

Dear Customer,

Following on from our communication on 3rd July, please see below the updated schedule, our Managed Service Provider, Nasstar, will begin the migration of all services onto our Midlands Datacentre in readiness for the move to the THS London Datacentre. This will result in reduced resiliency within the emPSN Core until the migration is completed.

30/07/25 @ 22:00 – Software test isolation of GS2, at this stage NEOS and VM circuits will be swapped at Node 4 DC to avoid a NEOS outage: during this time, users may experience a short temporary disruption to the service. 

01/08/25 @ 22:00 – VM and Neos swap at Node 4, there will also be a shutdown / isolation of GS2 in preparation for the move: during this time, users may experience a short temporary disruption to the service.

02/08/25  – The move will be completed, devices will be brought back up but no traffic will be moved to THS at this stage: during this time, users may experience a short temporary disruption to the service.

08/08/25 @ 22:00 – Netsweeper and core tunnels will be migrated from Node 4 to the THS dedicated circuit: during this time, users may experience a short temporary disruption to the service.

09/08/25 @ 22:00 – THS will be made the primary location: during this time, users may experience a short temporary disruption to the service.

The actual physical Datacentre Migration works will begin at 09:00 on 02/08/2025 and are expected to be complete by 23.59 on 02/08/2025. No downtime is expected as all connected sites will be running on the alternative Midlands DC.
