Within the emPSN network we do not operate our own NTP time services but we recommend customers use the NTP services available the Janet/JISC network as these are shorter path to you – configure 2 or 3 of the listed hosts.  As tertiary we also recommend the use of uk.pool services shown below.

NTP Checking

Windows uses W32TM.EXE to display a computers time service information.  This command can be used to determine the time on a remote device, it can also be used to check or confirm connection to the remote device.

The output below shows the query against one of the JANET time sources in comparison to the local computers date and time information.
