emPSN have been busy collaborating with Serious Comedy over the last year to create a new online safety book “Beneath the Screen”. The poetry book teaches children about different challenges they might face on the internet. We were very lucky to also have the help of the school children at Pattishall CE Primary School. The year 5’s and 6’s gave us invaluable advice on what they thought of the poems and their feedback was incorporated into the final version of the new book.
1 in 4 children have experienced something upsetting on a social networking site and more than 7 in 10 parents have looked for or received information or advice about how to help their child manage online risks. As an organisation that is committed to connect people to learning, providing advice to our schools that is relevant and timely in an industry that changes almost daily, is key to our customer support strategy.
We hope the children are proud of their involvement with the book, as without them the book wouldn’t be what it is and we are so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Pattishall CE Primary School.
We’ll be launching the Beneath the Screen poetry book with Serious Comedy at the start of the new academic year in September. If you want to find out more about the book or the launch, please contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
