emPSN and Janet Network

Janet Network

The Janet network is a critical national network, bringing together Universities, College Research establishments, local government, national government and schools connected through the regional broadband consortia. Many of the major suppliers connect directly, meaning that they are on the emPSN network and services are directly provided rather than through the internet. Some of these services include Microsoft, Google, the BBC and many more.

emPSN Network

All embc service providers are online to the embc network, so our services to schools are provided on our network and not over the internet.
As a PSN (Public Service Network), the embc network has to be built and managed to national standards required for critical infrastructure. All equipment, including routers provided to schools meet these stringent requirements and are of the highest industrial standards.
