Listening Books

emPSN are pleased to share with you free access to a fantastic teaching resource hosted by Listening Books.

Listening Books provide a postal and internet-based audiobook service to children and young people who have a disability or illness that impacts their ability to read the printed word. They have a huge range of fiction and non-fiction titles for both adults and children and support the National Curriculum from Key Stage 2 to A-Level. With over 9,000 titles there is something for everyone. In this age of digital success, there’s no reason why a child shouldn’t be able to enjoy the same books as their peers, and with the inclusion of Listening Books as one of your school key resources, teachers will be able to offer a greater inclusion and understanding for their pupils.

With a relaunch of their website, that is now mobile responsive, means any school using the service on tablets or other mobile devices will find it much easier to use.  You can view their website at https://www.listening-books.org.uk/

Following on from the relaunch, users of this service have been issued a new username. We have communicated this with you, but if you have not received anything or would like to subscribe to Listening Books please contact the team here at emPSN.  If you are having difficulty using the service, or with logins, please contact Claire Bell at Listening Books cbell@listening-books.org.uk.
