Google Captcha Issues – May 2018

We have recently seen intermittent issues with customers using Google search services on the emPSN network. Customers are being presented with a small number of barriers to using search such as:

• Captcha form – this does not always allow access once complete
• Unformed Captcha form – a submit button without content
• An ‘unusal traffic notice’ – informing users they are violating Googles terms of service

If you see these issues and you are a user of Google G Suite services, we ask that you report this directly to Google who will process this matter. We believe this is an important step.  Details of how to do this is here

If you are not a Google G Suite user we are waiting on Google’s preferred method to report this. Please continue to report this to your technology partner.

We appreciate that this is disruptive when it occurs, but we want to assure you we are working with a number of RBC and Technology companies to resolve this issue with Google. A ticket is in flight with Google search teams but we have no details of how long this could take to resolve.

If you have any other questions on this issue please contact us on support@empsn.org.uk
