Stop. Speak. Support.

#stopspeaksupport is the new campaign launched by Prince William last week.

Internet matters alongside leading other large companies from across the UK have come together to encourage young people to stand against cyber bullying through a new digital code of conduct. This connects to a lot of other online safety campaigns that advocate young people becoming good digital citizens, such as the Safer Internet Day 2018.

The campaign shares advice on what young people should do “When Banter goes Bad” and encourages young people to think about how they react when seeing bullying online. As the online world continues to grow and change, it will be increasingly difficult to keep up with the latest social media. Hopefully with campaigns such as #stopspeaksupport we’ll be able to encourage young people to become good digital citizens, so their moral behaviour doesn’t differ, irrespective of which social media platform they’re using.

Digital citizenship is covered in our Safe Online Workshop. Find out more and book your place online for 2018 dates.
